STEM Ambassadors at the University of Cambridge

The STEM Ambassador programme is a national scheme run through STEM Learning with over 30,000 volunteers giving their time to work with young people in schools and communities to bring STEM subjects to life. Becoming a STEM Ambassador brings a lot of personal benefits to you and also has a positive impact on the lives of young people.

  • Supporting learning – help young people to understand the real world applications of their learning
  • Illuminating careers – showcase different careers, providing information on roles and pathways into industry while raising awareness of the skills that are important in the workplace.
  • Raising aspirations – give young people the opportunity to meet a wide range of inspiring role models, encouraging them as they think about their future.

Discover more about the scheme and how to apply to join on the STEM Ambassador website.

There are lots of STEM Ambassadors across the University. This informal networking group aims to share ideas and resources and for mutual support! This initiative does not have a budget but by sharing what we know and what we do, we can become better STEM Ambassadors and have more fun!
