Annual reports and financial statements

It is now over two years since I joined the University, and yet I continue to be inspired by the stories of impact, innovation, and outreach that I encounter.

2024-25 was a landmark year, including the election by more than 25,000 members of our community of our new Chancellor: Chris Smith, Lord Smith of Finsbury. His deep knowledge of Cambridge and his record of public service equip him to be an outstanding ambassador for our University and for higher education more broadly.

We also entered a new era for physics research and education at Cambridge with the opening of the Ray Dolby Centre, the state-of-the-art home of the Cavendish Laboratory. This extraordinary national facility, made possible by the generosity of the Dolby family and the support of the UK Government, will drive discovery in fields from quantum communications to energy storage.
