The Meaning of Success brings together the stories and life experiences of women from across the collegiate University.

Women have played a vital role in shaping the University of Cambridge. Today, they contribute across every field—from science and engineering to the arts, leadership, and university services.

This project shares the stories of women working and studying at Cambridge. Through interviews and profiles, it explores what success means to them, the challenges they have faced, and the lessons they have learned.

Participants were nominated by colleagues from across the University to represent a wide range of roles, experiences, and career stages. Their responses highlight common themes such as resilience, mentorship, and the importance of supportive communities.

Together, these stories celebrate the diversity, achievements, and impact of women at Cambridge while encouraging future generations to pursue their ambitions.
