Body's baking soda used to catch cancer early

A chemical commonly called 'baking soda' which is found naturally in the body could be used to detect cancer with magnetic resonance imaging, revealed a Cambridge study funded by Cancer Research UK and published in Nature this week.

Women turn out in force to explore their education options

An event for women interested in returning to education, held at Lucy Cavendish College on Thursday, attracted more than 40 people from Cambridge and surrounding area. Encouraged by the “children welcome” aspect of the session, at least six women brought their children with them.
