Vice-Chancellor honoured by Queen's University Belfast
01 July 2008Professor Alison Richard, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, was in Belfast today to receive an Honorary Degree from Queen's University.
The experience of “restorative justice”, in which offenders confront their crime victims, reduces the frequency of reconviction by an average of 27%, the independent evaluators of the scheme have found.
The University of Cambridge Active Community Fund has distributed over £76,000 to local, national and international community projects over the last year.
A highly competitive ESRC/EPSRC Technology-Enhanced Learning award for £1.5 million has been awarded to a collaborative research team led from Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies at the University of Cambridge to explore new ways of using the World Wide Web to enhance teaching and learning.
