Cambridge admissions staff are visiting north Wales today (15 April) to encourage more students from the region to consider applying here.

Students attending the event at Yale College in Wrexham are finding out about how to apply to Cambridge, the courses, teaching and student life it offers, and the financial support and bursaries available to undergraduates starting at Cambridge in 2006.

Admissions tutors and undergraduates are on hand to answer students' questions and to chat informally and in confidence about studying at Cambridge. There are also information sessions about how to choose a College, how to apply and how to handle interviews.

The day has been specially organised both to encourage more Welsh students to apply to Cambridge and to answer any questions they have about studying at an English university.

Two more half-day Welsh Cambridge Conferences will take place on Wednesday, 27 April at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Admission is free. For more information, or to obtain tickets, please contact Elly Miller on 01223 766872 or sdm30@cam.ac.uk.
