Vet students have once again been revealing (almost) all for the 2009 University of Cambridge Veterinary School Trust Charity Calendar.

The risqué calendar features the students in a range poses with the animals that they devote so much time to studying and treating. Brightening up your 2009, images include checking the lambs at Easter and observing the dairy cows down on the farm while later in the year the brave students try to position a tiger for an x-ray!

The photos were taken in and around Cambridge’s Veterinary School and expose a cheekier side of veterinary work. All the profits will go to the HOPE appeal which is working to raise the £2 million needed to pay for the extension of the Cancer Therapy Unit and the new radiotherapy machine.

Fundraising for the new unit continues as the final demise of the original linear accelerator forced the Cancer Therapy Unit to open the facility earlier than expected. Funds are still desperately needed to cover the costs of the building work and the life-saving equipment. With no government funding the Hospital is reliant upon donations to maintain its position at the forefront of veterinary treatment, education and research.

The calendar, which would make the perfect stocking filler, has been produced to a high professional standard and is available for £9 (£11 p&p).
