This year’s highly competitive Varsity Match saw Oxford take the honours, winning 18-11 at Twickenham.

Early on, Oxford took the lead through Jon Fennell before Fergie Gladstone responded for Cambridge with a well-worked try.

The Dark Blues extended their lead through an Anthony Knox try before a Dafydd Lewis' penalty brought the score back to 10-8.

After the break, a Jonny Ufton penalty briefly put Cambridge in the lead but the match was sealed for Oxford by another kick from Jon Fennell and a late try by Ross Lavery.

Of the previous 122 Varsity matches, Oxford has won 51, Cambridge has won 57 and 14 have ended in a draw.
