Cambridge Enterprise held its second Investors’ Forum at New Hall on 16th November, sponsored once again by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Ten companies presented to an assembled audience of venture capitalists, investment funds and business angels during the morning. Amongst the presenters were five participants of past business plan competitions run by the student society “Cambridge University Entrepreneurs”, plus the first presentation of a company spin-out from The Cambridge-MIT Institute.

The Investors’ Forum showcases companies originating from the University of Cambridge who are seeking funding at various levels from early seed stage to series “A” and above. The Forum also provides attendees with networking opportunities and allows presenting companies to gain valuable feedback from the investment community.

The event demonstrates the quality of businesses emerging from the University. One venture capitalist commented that they felt it was a very worthwhile event, and it was apparent that being showcased were investment ready companies and “not just academics who have been pulled from the labs with what might be a commercial idea”.

The next Investors’ Forum will be held in 2006. Please contact enquiries@enterprise.cam.ac.uk for further information.
