Celebrating the achievements of University of Cambridge innovators and their commercial partners, Cambridge Enterprise held its third annual Ideas to Reality Celebration on 16 November.

Professor Ian Leslie, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research, welcomed guests to the event and introduced Dr Anne Dobrée, Interim Director of Cambridge Enterprise. Thanking everyone for their hard work throughout the year, Dr Dobrée said:

“The high quality of the cutting edge research available for licence from the University is reflected in the number of commercial deals that we have completed in the last year. Whilst our office is only a small part in the efforts to transfer technologies in to products we hope to make the process easier and quicker for our customers, both internal and external.”

Guests included academics, commercial partners, service providers and several University staff members who contributed to the achievements of the past year. Amongst the guests were representatives from companies started by University members, The British Stem Cell Registry, Plastic Logic and Cambridge Dynamic Lithography, as well as companies such as Camfridge, Enval and Enecsys, who had received University Challenge Fund Investment in 2005.
