Leicester City’s Walker Stadium is set to welcome thousands of school and college students tomorrow (March 19) for the third of this year’s Oxbridge conferences.

The information days are a joint venture between Cambridge and Oxford, aimed at debunking the myths and misconceptions that can deter some bright students from applying.

They offer school and college students the chance to meet admissions tutors and current undergraduates from both universities and find out what life at Oxbridge is really like.

More than 11,000 students in total are set to attend this year’s conferences, which kicked off at Cheltenham racecourse on March 2. That event attracted 1,500 students, while around 2,800 came to the second information day at Sandown Park on March 15.

The last of this year’s conferences will be held at Manchester United on March 26 and at Newcastle United on April 2.
