Women at the University will have another chance to discuss areas relevant to their everyday working lives at the next Women’s Forum taking place this Friday (23 April).

Mrs Anne Lonsdale, President of New Hall and former Pro Vice-Chancellor, will introduce the seminar which will take place at the University Centre, Mill Lane from 1.30-4.30pm.

As part of the University's Gender Equality Action Plan, the Women’s Forum will enable women at all levels to voice their concerns and contribute to the development of the gender equality plan. The Forum also aims to identify proposals for implementation by the University and to facilitate special interest groups and networks.

The seminars have been organised by Felicity Hunt, the Equal Opportunities Officer, and the Women’s Forum Steering Group. Topics which may be discussed cover issues for women- rather than ‘women’s issues’- and include recruitment, promotion, ageism, work/life balance, caring and being cared for, equal pay, redundancy, pensions and having a voice.
