A charity auction to raise money for local, national and international charities will take place in Cambridge later this month.

The auction has been organised by Cambridge RAG (Raising and Giving), the largest student charity fundraising organisation in Cambridgeshire.

Taking place in the chamber at the Cambridge Union building under the watchful eye of a celebrity guest, there will be lots to suit every taste and wallet. Every single penny raised shall be split between 25 chosen charities including Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre, Laura Crane Trust, Medecins Sans Frontieres, The British Red Cross and Cancer Research UK.

Music fans can find signed LPs from Elvis, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra and The Rolling Stones to name but a few. For the sportier bidder, how about a day’s training with Cambridge United, a signed Mohammed Ali glove or England shirt, or even a US Open flag signed by every champion since 1960? If you like movies, memorabilia ranging from Star Wars to Pulp Fiction or from Ben Hur to Rocky will be available.

Tickets are now on sale for £10/£5 via the website at www.cambridgeauction.co.uk. Bids can also be received online.

The auction starts at 7pm on 28 May at the Cambridge Union Chamber, 9a Bridge Street, Cambridge. Further information can be found at on the website at www.cambridgeauction.co.uk
