Russia Hangs Out: from champagne and caviar to coke and burgers

Cambridge’s Department of Slavonic Studies is hosting a series of public lectures over the coming academic year entitled ‘Russia Hangs Out: Consumer Culture from the Tsars to Putin.’ The series will examine how ordinary Russian men and women have spent their leisure time, what they have consumed and how they have amused themselves - from Imperial times to the present day.

The meaning of things at Clare Hall

Clare Hall are honoured that this year's Tanner Lectures will be given by Neil MacGregor, the new Director of the British Museum. The title of his lectures is 'The meanings of things'. The lectures take place on Monday 16, Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 February.
