Student feedback

The University encourages feedback from students in a number of ways. Departments and Faculties normally use evaluation forms for their courses, most University committees have student representatives as members, Colleges have student officers, and focus groups on current issues are often held.

As well as local engagement, there are two University-wide student surveys. During their final year, undergraduate students are asked to participate in the National Student Survey.  Postgraduate students will also participate in the Postgraduate Teaching Experience Survey (PTES) and the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES).  More details about these surveys can be found on the Education Quality and Policy Office website.

The University is currently using Tableau for visualising the results of the University-wide surveys and everyone with a Raven password can access the data (which are aggregated when necessary).  To access Tableau, please visit the Information Hub.

Results are disseminated widely across the institution and are considered in Faculty Boards, Degree Committees, College and University Committees with teaching and learning responsibilities.
