A new series of Executive Training seminars designed to help people working in the arts get the most out of new projects is being launched at the University of Cambridge this weekend. The series is entitled “The Shaping of Experience”.

The 12 seminars and forums will be held at the Møller Centre which is part of Churchill College. They will be led by top practitioners, politicians, managers and leading academics and will consist of ‘intensive’ working weekends looking at issues that affect the arts, media and creative industries.

The seminars are being aimed at a wide range of people from arts managers and artists, architects and town planners, to health and education specialists and those who work within the creative industries.

“The forums provide the opportunity to consider key question concerning cultural management and production from an international perspective” Mark Carberry, Sales & Marketing manager at the Møller Centre said. “The seminars are led by experts and leading practitioners who will look at the current issues from their personal experience and discuss their impacts.”

The programme will feature six Best Practice seminars conducted by leading planning professionals who will offer guidance on how people working in the arts can best ensure their planning applications for new projects go through.

The first seminar will take place on the 11 and 12 October and will bring together advisors form the three main political parties to discuss their different approaches to the support of culture and the arts along with case studies.

Those interested in attending should book early to avoid disappointment. Discounts are also avalible for those who book in for all six of the Best Practice seminars.

All the seminars are being held within the Møller Centre and the can be viewed on the Centre website as well as options for online booking.
