The University and Colleges of Cambridge organise a large number of open days to give potential applicants and their parents the opportunity to find out more about living and studying in Cambridge. Choose one of the options below for dates and more information:

Specialist open days are organised each year for ethnic minority students, FE and mature students, and those interested in choral awards and organ scholarships. Details are given below and in the complete list of open days for 2010. |
Access events and initiatives
Cambridge Admissions Office co-ordinates a range of initiatives and activities for students and their advisers throughout the year:

If you can't make one of our events but would still like to see Cambridge for yourself, College and department grounds are open for most of the year for you to wander round. However, restrictions may apply and you should check with the College/department beforehand, to ensure free access.
Other initiatives
- CUSU initiatives: Cambridge University Students' Union (CUSU) runs a Target Campaign, open days, visits and a shadowing scheme to enable prospective applicants to meet current students and find out what Cambridge is really like from a student perspective.
- Cambridge College area links scheme: The majority of undergraduate Colleges at Cambridge are linked to one or more Local Authorities and each College is currently developing links in these areas.
- Cambridge in the Community Directory: The directory provides access to a wide range of online resources from departments and faculties, developed for students of all ages across a number of subject areas.
