Economics course requirements

Given the increasingly technical nature of economic theory, it is now essential that applicants have A level Mathematics (or equivalent). Further Mathematics is considered useful by Christ's, Churchill, Corpus Christi, Downing, Gonville and Caius, King's, Magdalene, Newnham, Peterhouse, Queens', and St John's Colleges. Economics is seen as useful preparation by all Colleges but it is not essential. A level Business Studies can be helpful if you are unable to take Economics.
