Pav Akhtar, President of Cambridge University's Students' Union (CUSU) has been awarded the accolade of Ethnic Student of the Year, 2001.
Pav was one of two Cambridge students shortlisted for the prize, the other being Nabeel Rauf, a student at Peterhouse. The competition is part of the GG2 Leadership and Diversity Awards, a scheme which celebrates the achievements of people from ethnic minorities.
