We know that UK immigration fees can present a considerable burden for non-UK employees, particularly members of the post-doctoral community who may struggle to meet these costs for themselves and their families.
As part of our increasing relocation provision, we offer financial support to new and current employees who are applying for one of the three most common visa routes through which we engage and retain our employees – Skilled Worker, Global Talent and Settlement (also known as Indefinite Leave to Remain) – and their family members.
- Visa fee payment: The University will cover the fees for new employees applying for either a Skilled Worker visa or Global Talent visa. This includes the cost of the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) and may include other associated costs.
- Interest-free visa loan scheme: to help current employees applying for a Skilled Worker or a Global Talent visa, or for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), meet the costs of these visa types. Loans are repayable via monthly payroll deductions.
