We have a range of support to make the move and transition easier for new employees:
- Eligible employees (subject to the completion of an eligibility questionnaire) can claim back up to £8,000 of relocation expenses, tax-free.
- Our rental deposit loan scheme can help with some of the costs of private rental accommodation, like initial deposit, firs month’s rent and fees.
- Our shared equity scheme means eligible employees can get financial assistance to purchase a house in the Cambridge area.
- We can help you find short-, medium- and long-term accommodation if you’re new to Cambridge (or the UK). Our Accommodation Service lets University-owned properties, and advertises rooms, apartments, and houses from private landlords.
- And we can help you settle in even further with our Newcomers and Visiting Scholars Group, which welcomes the partners and families of visiting scholars and hosts events like coffee hours, walking tours lectures and cinema visits.
