If you’re new to the University, the Cambridge Festival is an exciting annual event which presents the opportunity to explore an eclectic mix of more than 350 events and activities. The public celebration of research offers everything from panel discussions to film premiers and a variety of options for the whole family.

It’s one programme enabled by the University’s Connecting Communities initiative, which supports outreach work in the area. It also supports Open Cambridge, which hosts free behind-the-scenes tours and talks at local venues.

There are lots of other ways the University connects with the local community, from hospitals to community groups. Our staff and students are shaping partnerships across the city to create jobs and support local growth. Read more about our civic and community engagement.
