Professor Nick Brown of the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience is among the winners of the 2017 Research Grants Awards by the Human Frontier Science Program.
The award provides three years of support for international teams involving at least two countries. All team members are expected to broaden the character of their research compared to their ongoing research programs and interact with teams bringing expertise that is very different from their own so as to create novel approaches to problems in fundamental biology. Professor Brown has jointly received the award for his collaboration with Gregory Giannone, Interdisciplinary Institute for NeuroScience, CNRS, University of Bordeaux, for a project titled "Dynamic rearrangement of protein interactions within macromolecular complexes in vivo".
The Human Frontier Science Program is a program of funding for frontier research in the life sciences. It is implemented by the International Human Frontier Science Program Organization (HFSPO), and includes more than 11 EU and non-EU nations.
