Honours for President of Wolfson College

Sir Richard Evans, President of Wolfson, has been awarded the British Academy Leverhulme Medal and Prize for Humanities and Social Sciences for 2015 for his significant contribution to the field of Modern German History.

The Leverhulme Medal and Prize, worth £5,000, is awarded every three years for significant contribution to knowledge and understanding within the humanities and social sciences. The award is made in partnership with The Leverhulme Trust.

It has also just been announced that Sir Richard has been elected a member of the Academia Europaea. The European Academy of Sciences was founded in 1987 on the initiative of the European Ministers of Science. It has some 3,000 members, drawn from all academic disciplines, including 16 Nobel Prizewinners.
