Please SELF-ISOLATE immediately.
This means that the pooled screening test you contributed a swab to was MISSING. HOWEVER, another pooled screening test including members of your household was POSITIVE. It is therefore very likely that somebody else in your household has SARS-CoV-2 infection.
PLEASE SELF-ISOLATE IMMEDIATELY. This is very important to help prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection to others.
Your College will be informed of these pooled screening test results, and PROVIDE SUPPORT if you need to self-isolate.
Other members of your HOUSEHOLD should also isolate, whether OR NOT they contributed a swab or are participating in the asymptomatic screening programme.
Everybody who contributed a swab to the positive pooled screening test will be offered an individual confirmatory test. This will allow us to confirm the positive pooled screening test result, work out who is infected, and determine how long you will need to remain in self-isolation.
Since the pooled screening test you contributed a swab to was MISSING, you will NOT be booked for an individual confirmatory test.
Further guidance on the duration of self-isolation will be sent by text message, or communicated by your College, when the results of individual confirmatory tests from the relevant members of your household are available. Please contact your College, or email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org if you have not received this information by 3PM the day after you received your pooled screening test result.
In a small number of scenarios, a second round of individual tests will be required. In that case, all necessary information will be provided by text message, email or telephone.
You may use the University’s COVID-19 monitoring form to report that you are self-isolating.
If your testing pool DID NOT submit a pooled screening test, you will have the opportunity to take part in pooled sample collection again in future weeks. Next time, however, please let us know if you will not be providing a swab by sending an email to email@example.com with the word “EXCLUSION” as the subject. We are setting up an on-line form to do this as soon as possible.
If your testing pool DID submit a pooled screening test, and you think you have received this result in error, please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org so we can investigate. We will let you know if we are able to track down your missing pooled screening test. Please continue to participate in the programme. You will have the opportunity to take part in pooled sample collection again in future weeks.
