A message for staff from the Vice-Chancellor with information about updates over the holiday season

This is a message to all University staff from the Vice-Chancellor

Dear colleagues,

As we enter the holiday season I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and peaceful New Year. Many of you will be hoping to link up with family and friends, some will be at work keeping the University and Colleges functioning. But I hope all of you have the chance to rest, catch your breath and fortify yourselves for the year ahead.

This has been another difficult year and we go into the Christmas period under a cloud of continued uncertainty. We are watching developments closely and we are anticipating there may be further Government announcements in the days ahead. Please rest assured that we will keep you informed of any significant developments affecting our staff and students. We will aim to be in touch by email within 48 hours of any announcement and will update the University staff web page accordingly.

In the meantime, let me reiterate my thanks to everyone working at the Collegiate University. You have made extraordinary efforts and demonstrated innovation and ingenuity in the face of the challenges posed by the pandemic. Unfortunately, there is still no end immediately in sight and there may be further hurdles ahead. I am confident that you will respond with the same professionalism and compassion which have been the hallmarks of the past 21 months.

Take care of yourselves and your families - and enjoy the break.

Best wishes,

Stephen
