How the University works

The Proctors

The two Proctors are elected annually on the nomination of the Colleges and are the representatives of the Regent House in formal and disciplinary matters. They oversee Congregations and submit Graces relating to degrees at Congregations. Their other duties include ensuring that examinations are properly conducted and preserving free speech and public order within the University.
