- Academic Division - oversees educational policy, organises examinations and maintains student records
- Board of Examinations - organises all aspects of examinations
- Board of Graduate Studies - responsible for the admission, registration and approval of the University's graduate students
- Cambridge Admissions Office - acts as a central enquiry point for prospective students from the UK and around the world who are thinking of applying for an undergraduate degree
- Education Division - helps to maintain the quality assurance procedures of the University
- Human Resources - provides a range of services to leaders and staff across the University
- International Office - provides advice and help to prospective and current international students, also coordinates the Erasmus Scheme and Cambridge-MIT exchange programme
- Points Based Immigration Office (PBI) - prepares a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for those students who require a visa and advise Cambridge Colleges and Departments on changes to UKBA regulations
- Secretariat - provide administrative support services to the University Council and its committees, and implements the policies made by those bodies.
- Registrary's Office - University's senior administrative officer, head of the Unified Administrative Service and Secretary to the University Council.
- Student Administration and Records - maintain records of the University's student population, coordinates matriculation, degree ceremonies
