Many people associate the word "chemicals" with evil, man-made substances. This action-packed demonstration lecture features flashes and bangs made only from the chemicals that can be found in nature, illustrating the fact that our whole world is made of chemicals. How can copper be extracted from
a semiprecious stone? What acid can be made from fools gold? How can the scrapings from the walls of a cowshed cause an explosion? All these questions and more will be answered.
Warning: loud bangs and explosions!
