The Public Engagement team behind the Cambridge Festival of Ideas also run other free public events throughout the year:
Free holiday lectures are held in school holidays and are sponsored by the Marshall Group.
Join us at the fifth Cambridge Festival of Ideas, 24 October – 4 November, which celebrates the arts, humanities and social sciences through talks, performances, film screenings, hands on activities and workshops to suit all ages. Further details and a programme will be available from September 2012.
Walk through Cambridge Colleges for charity. The 4.5 mile Bridge the Gap Charity walk will take place on Sunday 9 September 2012 to raise money for Arthur Rank Hospice and Press Relief. It is one of the most popular charity walks in the region and includes activities on route and a chance to learn more about the history of Cambridge and its Colleges.
Open Cambridge provides a unique opportunity for visitors to explore collegiate Cambridge through subject themed tours, guided by University and College experts. Open Cambridge 2012 will take place from Friday 7 – Sunday 9 September. Open Cambridge features tours of Colleges, libraries and departments as well as talks which explore 800 years of history.
