At the end of the financial year 2010/11, research grants and contracts income had increased by £16.0m (+6%) to £283.7m, showing resilience in externally sponsored research amid difficult economic conditions. In particular, the prominence of the European Commission and Overseas funders shows the University’s portfolio becoming more diverse.
