Long-running BBC Television children’s programme Blue Peter visits Cambridge this evening.

Cambridge has been home to presenters Liz Barker & Konnie Huq over the years. Liz grew up in the Cambridge area, and Konnie was a student at Robinson College where she read Economics.

The film is a trip down memory lane for both presenters, as they not only share their own experiences of the city, but also discover more of the history and heritage of the university. They filmed at several locations including Robinson College, Gonville and Caius College, Trinity College and the Michaelhouse.

For Liz and Konnie this film is particularly special, as it's their last Blue Peter together. After 6 years on the show, Liz is leaving Blue Peter to spend more time with her family and move back to the Cambridge area.

The film will transmit in tonight's Blue Peter at 5pm on BBC1 (and simultaneously on the CBBC channel).
