The Chancellor, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, visited the University yesterday to visit two colleges and preside over the 2010 Honorary Degree Congregation.

Prince Philip’s first stop was Homerton College where he was welcomed by College Principal Dr Kate Pretty. He met staff and students and unveiled a plaque to mark the College achieving full college status in the University with the award of a Royal Charter. Under the new Charter, the Chancellor of the University is also Visitor of Homerton College.
