Summer at the Museums 2014
Hands-on family fun in Cambridge and beyond
This summer, museums in Cambridge and beyond offered a jam-packed programme of creative activities, events and trails. With 20 local venues presenting an exciting mix of drop-in and bookable things do, families were able to take advantage of heaps of happenings throughout the holidays.
From taking part in a night time bat walk at Cambridge University Botanic Garden, building rockets at Cambridge Museum of Technology or meeting a Stone Age man at the Norris Museum, this year’s Summer at the Museums Calendar had something to keep everyone entertained. For those wanting to explore the museums and collections, there was also a free Museum Scrapbook, which was full of fun tips and activities designed to help families get the most out of their visit.
We’ve had a great summer and we hope you have too. Next year’s programme runs from 23 July – 3 September 2015, until then, make the most of the summer memories with our Flickr slideshow.
