Cell-death mechanism presentation clinches victory for pathology student.
Newnhamite Henrike Resemann won the Graduate Union's 3min Thesis Competition with a James Bond-themed presentation on a cell-death mechanism.
Resemann is a PhD student at the Department of Pathology and convinced the judges with her presentation "Die Another Way: A Novel Cell Death Mechanism in the Breast".
The competition seeks to celebrate the research of graduate students at the University.
Runners-up included Christina Farley, of St John's and Joost Haarsma of Homerton.
The final was held at the Mill Lane Lecture Theatre and saw 12 academics fighting for the prize. The top three students selected met with the Vice-Chancellor to discuss their research. Resemann will be entered into the Vitae UK national 3 minute thesis competition.
