Star-studded line-up for Festival of Ideas
Poet and painter Frieda Hughes, world-renowned violinist Mifune Tsuji and author, actor and comedian Charlie Higson will be among the musicians, artists and academics taking part in this year’s fourth Festival of Ideas in Cambridge.
Co-ordinated by Cambridge University with local partners including Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), the festival runs from October 19 to 30, and features around 200 events including workshops, performances, talks and demonstrations – many of them free – at venues around the city.
The largest festival of its kind in the UK, it has grown steadily, and last year attracted over 9,000 visitors.
