Application for a Raven account

Raven is the University's central user authentication system for web-based resources - some web resources are only available to people with a Raven account. Raven accounts are available to current staff and students of the University.

  1. If you have an account on the Hermes mail system, or the mail systems run by the Engineering Department, the Department of Applied Maths and Theoretical Physics, the Computer Laboratory, or by the Biological Sciences ('Mole') then you already have a Raven account and you can collect your initial Raven password on line.
  2. Otherwise, if you are a University Officer, a College Fellow, a member of University academic or assistant staff, a Graduate Student, a Research Student, or an Undergraduate then you can apply for a Raven account on this form. Your password will be posted to you.
  3. Otherwise you should complete a paper application form - see Applying for Computing Service accounts.
