Anonymous and absolutely private

Talk about your situation without having to reveal anything more than you wish to.

Volunteers do not tell other students that they work for Nightline and keep things absolutely private. Read more about this in our Confidentiality Policy.

We are independent

We are affiliated with the National Nightline Association, but we are not officially part of ARU or CU. This independence is central to our confidentiality and non-directivity and makes Nightline available to everyone.

Confidential

We are here to talk about whatever is on your mind. We keep everything you say confidential.

Anonymous

The chat is completely private and anonymous. You don’t have to reveal anything more about yourself than you wish to.

Non-Judgmental

We’re here to listen, not to judge or lecture.

Non-Directive

Although we are also an information service, we are not an advice service. However, we can help you talk things through

Volunteer with us

Volunteering with Cambridge Nightline is a challenging but rewarding experience.

We look for volunteers who are able to listen to the concerns of callers, show empathy, and provide emotional support. We recruit new volunteers twice per year, in October and February.
